Game Designer Intern
I decided to look for a Game Designer position as I wanted to developed my skills in this field for my first internship at SupinfoGame. I had the chance to work as a Game Designer intern at Neopica, a Video Game company based in Gent, Belgium, from July to September 2015 (3 month).

My role in the project
As I was not familiar with this genre and with hunting in general I had to first collect the maximum information about hunting techniques, animals behavior and their natural habitat.
As hunting tend to be really realistic I have to create a database that will centralized all the information about the species living in certain region and climates.
The next step was to create a database about weapons and hunting techniques that are used in real life. I look at the best hunting websites and questioned many hunters to collect important information.
Before to started the Document, I had to benchmarked and analysed other titles of this genre to create a database compiling all the info of these games:
As soon as I had these documents in hand, I could begin my Game Design document:

- Analysed Pro / cons / USP
- Identified gameloops and gameplay mechanics
As soon as I had these documents in hand, I could begin my Game Design document:
- Designed the gameplay mechanics and game systems:
- Create the storyline and backstory of the main character
- Create the tutorial and the mission system (hunting techniques, how to approach and detect a prey etc...)
- Design the habitats and localisation of the animals
- Design climat system (rain, sun, blur, sand: which have all pro and cons on the hunter)
- Design the IA behavior of the animals (based on their real behavior)
- Design the weapon system (based on real weapons)
- Prototype the first hunting system with the developer
