I'm William Gauthier a passionate Senior Game Designer with Project Management, UX and UI experience for over 8+ years, I worked on 3 Live Games (Arrow Fest, Minion Rush and Rabbids Coding), 30+ Game prototypes on Mobile (Hypercasual and Casual), Virtual Reality, Education and recently Web3. I am happy to welcome you on my Portfolio !
In the last 8 years my proudest achievement are:
I am motivated to create engaging gameplay mechanics and an optimal game feel as I had professional experience as a Lead Game Designer at Nanotribe / Zynga, Ubisoft or recently at Myria as a Game / Level Designer and during Freelance Projects. Also, I have a strong bond for management as I love team work, solve problems and take responsibilities upon projects. I am always eager to participate to Game Jams, analyze the growth and new trends of the market by going or participate to Video Game Events.
I truly believe that Video game and gamification are the future of teaching, a subject that I am really interested about, as I have been involve with the association Fusion Jeunesse as a project coordinator to avoid students to drop out of school and make them proud of themselves by creating their own video game. I am also casually doing Freelance Teaching for Digi-activity to share my passion of game creation and help students create their first games.
I confirmed my desire to work as a Project Manager by being responsible of several mobile games at Nanotribe, Metidia, handling all the Virtual Reality projects at SmartVR studio as a VR project Manager, leading large scale team at Gameloft as an Asssistant Producer, designed a specific pipeline production for a virtual reality project using a cave.
I believe that a Video Game is not only entertainment. I see it as a way of providing some unique experiences to players and of passing on various messages, help the renewal of Education system, especially with the rise of new technology such as VR & AR and the constant evolution of Mobile and consoles.
To achieve those goals, the Video Game and entertainment industry require both creative and technical skills. That is why I am so eager to work in it !
In the last 8 years my proudest achievement are:
- Reach 40 Millions of Downloads with Arrow Fest, increase the retention by 25% by balancing the Level Design with customized levels, Designed and A/B tests various version of the shop and events while Managing a team of 12 people.
- Reshape the version of Rabbids coding from PC to Mobile by reworking the entire UI and UX of the game to fit smartphone screens leading to 100K+ Downloads.
- Secure the continuity of the Association Fusion goal in Paris and establish a long term partnership with schools in the area and the creation of new ones with other schools. Motivate students to pursue career in the video game industry.
